Support and Accessibility Centre

The mission of Support and Accessibility Centre (SAC) at the University of Łódź is to create a space of equal opportunities in studying for people with special needs. We strive to ensure accessibility for those who, due to disability, health condition, adaptation difficulties or other reasons, are unable to pursue learning and academic work on an equal basis and with the highest quality of education.

Every person with disabilities and special needs has the right to equal access to higher education. We support both in matters related to education and broadly defined activity in the academic environment. We take an individual approach to each person. We get to know her/his specific needs and psycho-physical capacities and select appropriate types of support so that she/he can fully participate in the study process.

We provide support in terms of:

• equal educational opportunities
• solving educational difficulties due to health and/or adaptation reasons
• mental health hygiene
• personal development
• prevention and therapy of addictions
• adaptation of the educational process to individual needs and abilities.
