Sales and Promotion Department

The Sales and Promotion Department of the Lodz University Press conducts sales and wide distribution of publications and promotes the output of authors associated with the University of Lodz.

The team takes care of the image of the university and the publishing house and their recognition in the scientific and non-scientific community.

• We sell to major distributors in Poland, to academic bookstores and to retail customers our online bookstore and a stationary bookstore at the publisher's headquarters.
• We organize author meetings and fairs, and are present at academic conferences and national book fairs in Warsaw, Krakow and Lodz, among others.
• We study the book market and our audience groups, looking for effective channels of promotion and creating content tailored to the possibilities of dissemination.
• We popularize science and culture by cooperating with media and cultural institutions.
• We gain valuable patronage and ambassadors for our projects.
• We conduct extensive activities through social media - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
• We run a scientific Blogosphere that brings together publicists, authors and students.
• We make promotional videos by developing our YouTube channel.
• We distribute review copies and press materials.
• We prepare advertisements and media campaigns.
• We submit publications for awards.
• We cooperate with units inside the University of Lodz, departments, scientific circles.
• We participate in the cultural life of the city, co-organizing the Lodz Book Fair and creating joint events with the City Library, the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center and House of Literature, among others.
